Good Ole Xanga!

This update is for my friend Sarah.....the only person who still checks my xanga site!

My life is crazy busy!  Work is going well.  Just cleaning some grungy teeth and making friends with my patients.  The other day was the first day I didn't really enjoy my job.  I thought to myself, "what the crap am I doing in these people's mouths!"  It gets a little repetitive and I find I run out of things to talk to my patients about.  Do I really want to do this for the rest of my life?  And the answer is no.  I will be a hygienist for a while, but when I get older and my unborn children are grown maybe I'll find a nice hobby.  I would really love to open a bakery!  I would love to be a fat old lady that is known for her cookies and pies!  Maybe someday.....who knows.

I'm also thinking about maybe going to Dental School to be a dentist.  I watch the dentists that I work for and I just think it would be so fun!  I would be the dentist that isn't worried about the money, but about what is best for my patient.  I see too many over-diagnoses and it makes me sad.

Everything else in my life are great!  My husband is kicking butt at Sam's Club!  He just got a raise and is about to be promoted!  My dog is sweet as ever.  Mark is teaching him all kinds of tricks.  I swear sometimes we think he's part human!  We are working on our mudroom in our house.  The renovation is taking longer than we thought, but we just gotta be patient.

These pictures were taken in Mexico.  I wish we were still there.  No worries and no responsibilities!  That's the life!

 Let me see....

It's been over a month since my last update.  My life is boring and I find it hard to think of cool things to write about.  I work, I come home, I sleep.  We've been working on the house on the weekends.  What a long process!  I cannot wait till we get at least one room done.  I will post some before and after pictures

My doggie is doing well.  He was sick for a while.  We found out that he cannot drink water from the creek...which is sad b/c he loves to play in the water.  When we take him out he goes straight to the water, and we have to pull him away.  So sad!

Mark is recording his CD!  I'm married to a ROCK STAR!  I can't wait to hear the finished product.  Hey, if anyone wants to buy a 2001 Taylor Acoustic guitar let me know.  We've got one for sale, and it's really nice!

Okay, have a good Halloween.  I don't know what I'm dressing up as.  I'll figure something out.

Hello xanga world!  Long time no see!

Crazy busy....those are the words to describe my last few weeks.  I've started my job, which I love, but I get home and I'm exhausted.  Mark said, "Well, now you know how I have felt."  I didn't know that working full time would take so much energy.  I think I get tired of the small talk.  I chat with at least eight patients a day.  Here are some of the questions I ask. "So, do you live around here?"  "Are you a big Razorback fan?"  "Do you have any children?"  "Where do you work?"  These are all questions I ask while I'm writing my notes, taking x-rays, or waiting for the dr.  Then, when I have my hands in the patient's mouth I just blabber on about my experiences, or what is happening in my life.  BORING!  If I feel the patient is bored I just shut up.  Anyway, I get home and don't want to talk about anything.

Our new exciting news!  We got a doggie!!!  We rescued him from a shelter, and he's the most beautiful dog ever!!  He's about 2 years old, so he doesn't mistake our furniture for his chew toys.  He loves to cuddle.  This past week, Mark and I wake up to find Brocco (that's his name) in the middle of us snuggling and licking our faces.  There's nothing like getting wakened by dog food breath! YUCK!  But you just can't resist his big blue eyes.  We are blessed with a wonderful dog, who appreciates the fact that he's out of the shelter.

These are my two boys!!  Brocco was sleeping until I woke him with the camera.

This picture doesn't show how cute he is.  It makes him look like he has a big nose.  Anyway, sweetest dog you'll ever meet!  He might lick you to death.

That's all for now.  I hope you have a wonderful short week!

Today I was running/walking at the Bella Vista trail.  it was nice and peaceful.  I guess people don't usually exercise on Saturdays because no one was there.  Anyway, I borrowed Mark's i-shuffle.  I've never run outside listening to music, but I couldn't believe how smooth and almost romantic everything seemed.  It's like all of God's creatures and creations had a rhythm to it.  The trees were swaying to the beat.  There was an older couple who were holding hands.  With the music, I felt I was watching a romance movie.  I really was able to focus on God and pray while I walked.  I have decided that I will add this routine to days.  It was so relaxing.

Other than my calming experience outside, I don't have much to talk about.  Well, I finally got a job as a dental hygienist.  I start on Aug 20.  I'm so excited to do what I've been trained to do.  I will be able to touch so many lives.  I know God will use me for His kingdom there.  At least that's what I pray.

Take care friends.

Hello friends.  I hope life is treating you well.  Things here are great.  Mark and I are back from the honeymoon.  It was a fantastic time!  We were able to be lazy bums all week, and nobody was around to judge us.  The highlight of the trip was when we went to swim with the dolphins!  That was awesome!  They're such pretty animals!  There was one trick that Shelly (the dolphin) swam beside me and I grabbed her fins and she took me for a ride on her belly!  How fun!

Anyway, now I'm done with my two papers I had to write for the online class that I was taking.  What a pain.  I forgot how much I can't stand school.  Now, I am cleaning the house and organizing all of my stuff.  It's hard cause Mark has already been living here and he has his stuff in certain places, and there's not very much room for my stuff.  Hopefully soon my stuff and his stuff will blend into our stuff. =)  It still freaks me out that I'm living with a boy.

Okay, have a wonderful summer weekend!  Here are some pics for you to enjoy....thanks lisa.

We just arrived at the reception site.  I had to make sure I didn't fall down all of those stairs.  Man, I loved my dress.  It's pretty dirty now, but it was such a wonderful dress!
